Job summary

Generation Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper in Provo, UT to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public areas in line with our standards. You will ensure guests experience a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout their stay.

This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina to stand for long periods, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Flexible hours including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior housekeeping/janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms and suites, including beds, dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas: lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, stairwells.
• Stock and organize housekeeping carts and storage areas.
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards promptly.
• Follow sanitation and safety procedures.
• Handle linen including sorting and restocking.
• Adhere to grooming standards and policies.
• Provide professional and courteous guest service and respond to requests.
• Follow time and attendance policies and use checklists.

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, order, and presentation of guest rooms and public areas in accordance with Generation Hospitality Group’s standards. This position ensures that guests experience a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout their stay.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms and suites including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, restocking amenities, and removing trash.
• Maintain cleanliness in assigned public areas, including lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, and stairwells.
• Ensure all housekeeping carts and storage areas are stocked, organized, and maintained to company standards.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost and found items promptly to the appropriate departments.
• Follow all sanitation and safety procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and team members.
• Handle all linen according to departmental policies, including sorting, folding, and restocking.
• Comply with Generation Hospitality Group's grooming standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to guests, responding promptly to guest requests and inquiries.
• Adhere to time and attendance policies and maintain proper use of housekeeping checklists and room assignment sheets.

The Pay Range For This Role Is

16 - 18 USD per hour (Provo Marriott)
