Job summary

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is seeking a full-time Housekeeper at our Plymouth Inpatient Campus. The role supports inpatient and community-based services with cleaning, disinfecting, and linen duties in a fast-paced health care setting. Experience preferred; education requirements include a high school diploma or GED.

Shift is 7AM-3:30PM Sunday-Thursday, with flexibility. Eligible for benefits, training opportunities, and growth toward licensed counselor or recovery coach credentials

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, sanitize, and maintain patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Replaces soiled linen and handles bio-hazard materials as needed.
• Maintain linen and scrubs inventory in coordination with staff.
• Attend unit meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions as directed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or COO.

Pay Range: $20 - $23.50/hr depending on experience
Status: Full Time; Sunday-Thursday

High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. • CPR Certification.
• Ensures patient rooms, bathrooms, community areas, staff offices, group rooms, nursing stations, corridors, stairwells, etc., are clean, properly disinfected, sanitized, and free of odor at all times;
• Wet mops daily or as needed;
• Attend to spills immediately;
• Empty trash and clean containers;
• Clean floor edges and corners to prevent build-up;
• Clean windows, windowsills and other furnishings;
• Knowledge of chemical handling and Safety Data Sheets (SDS);
• Knowledge of chemical ingredients, mixing dangers and proper storage;
• Knowledge of OSHA safety precautions;
• Knowledge of Infection Control Standards – Hand Washing, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Blood spill kits, etc.;
• General knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, disinfecting, etc.;
• Replaces soiled linen, as needed, in patient rooms;Handles all Bio-Hazard;
• Utilize standard precautions at all times;
• Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients/clients as defined by the patient’s right;
• Coordinates with MHS/RS staff to maintain accurate linen and scrubs inventory;
• Attend all unit, facility meeting and supervisions as directed by Supervisor;
• Attend mandatory trainings;
• Other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Program Director, or COO.

Housekeeper Qualifications

• Must be no less than 18 years of age;
• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent preferred.
