Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a Housekeeper to support all shifts with responsibilities including cleaning, equipment sanitation, and assisting withbed moves and linen logistics. You will collect soiled linen and transport linen carts across the hospital while adhering to infection control and safety guidelines.

Candidates should be able to read and write English, follow safety instructions, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge: ability to demonstrate working knowledge of hospital, departmental and infection control procedures.
• Written Communication: ability to read and write in English in order to understand basic safety instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively with patients, families and other hospital staff.
• Oral Communication: ability to understand spoken English in order to follow basic safety instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively in basic English with patients, families and hospital staff in response to routine questions.
• Must be 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall cleanliness of environment in assigned areas.
• Maintain and sanitize equipment as part of daily routines.
• Assist with function setups and moving requests as needed.
• Perform bed moves and stocking of housekeeping supplies.

There will be climbing stairs and pushing carts of approximately 600 lbs. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Occasional keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.**Pay Range:**$17.69 - $27.44This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
