Job summary

Owensboro Health is seeking a part-time Facilities Healthpark associate to maintain a sanitary, safe environment and enhance the appearance of the facility. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, restock supplies, manage cleaning equipment, and respond to emergencies promptly in a hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and certification in BLS/CPR/First Aid within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or higher preferred.
• BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider within 90 days of employment.
• Heartsaver CPR AED within 90 days of employment.
• First Aid certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning, floor care, and trash removal daily in area of responsibility and other assigned areas.
• Stocks paper items and supplies in necessary areas.
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition; stores after shift.
• Responds rapidly to emergencies, spills, and special needs.
• Oversees locker room cleanliness bi-weekly; monitors wet areas.
• Coordinates and administers lost and found program.
• Communicates with members, answers questions, and responds professionally.

Job Summary:

Creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs all cleaning, floor care, and project assignments within area of responsibility and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.

• Stocks paper items and other supplies in areas as necessary or designated.

• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.

• Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc.

• Assists other associates as necessary.

• Oversees the cleanliness of the locker room area including cleaning lockers on a bi-weekly basis, vacuuming all carpeted areas, and monitoring all wet areas as necessary.

• Ensures there are adequate towels and supplies in the locker room.

• Coordinates and administers lost and found program.

• Communicates effectively with members, answers questions, and responds to comments and suggestions in a timely and professional manner.

Skills and Attributes:

• Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.

• Works under limited supervision.

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Position Requirements:

Work Experience

• No experience required. Must be at least 18 years of age

Education

• High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position OR

• Heartsaver CPR AED required within 90 days of employment in this position AND

• FA - First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment in this position
