Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking an RN Supervisor to provide frontline leadership in the Stepdown unit. You will mentor staff, coordinate multi-disciplinary care, and drive adherence to patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' relevant nursing leadership experience.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire.
• Licensure/Certification: RN in Kentucky; BLS within 45 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
• Ensures staff compliance with department and organization policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provide education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

Job Summary

Provides nursing leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care. Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. • Change Management - Leads and adapts to organizational changes, communicating effectively during transitions, and engages the team in the process.
• Leadership Development – Actively engages in the Leadership Development Program by enrolling in the program within the first 6 months of employment and completing the program within the first 2 years of employment.
• Workforce Safety Statement - Prioritizes the physical and psychological safety of the workforce as a foundational element of high-reliability care. Ensure goals are established with effective monitoring and reporting to improve workforce safety and wellbeing. Promotes safe staffing, supports resilience, and ensures that every team member has the tools, training, and environment needed to perform at their best.

Position Requirements

• Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience as determined by the organization.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire AND BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position.
