Job summary

Western States Lodging & Management is seeking a Housekeeper in Ogden to maintain resident apartments and common areas with attention to cleanliness and safety. You’ll work closely with residents and team members to ensure spaces are welcoming and well maintained.

The role requires basic cleaning knowledge, reliability, and a willingness to serve older adults. Eligible full-time associates receive medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) plan with match, PTO, and hotel discounts.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping in resident apartments, rooms and common areas.

• Empty trash and dispose waste safely.
• Follow priorities set by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

What Makes You Successful

• Perform routine housekeeping duties in resident apartments, rooms, common areas, and other designated areas throughout the community.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Change bed linens, make beds, and ensure resident rooms and apartments are tidy and organized.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly and safely.
• Complete assigned housekeeping duties according to the priorities established by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Maintain and properly use housekeeping equipment and supplies to minimize waste, prevent damage, and promote a safe work environment.
• Respond courteously and professionally to resident requests and communicate feedback or concerns to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

What We’re Looking For

• 0–1 year of housekeeping or related experience; previous experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or another service environment is helpful but not required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, procedures, and sanitation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, orderly spaces.
• Dependable, hardworking, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and families.
• A genuine willingness to work with and serve older adults.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and safely push, pull, or move items such as housekeeping carts and furniture.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
