Job summary

Avera St Anthony’s Hospital is seeking a cleaning associate to maintain a clean and orderly environment across patient rooms, offices, lounges, and corridors. The role supports a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient care and facility cleanliness.

Shifts are primarily evenings from 2:00pm to 10:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays. Prioritize safety, hospitality, and teamwork while delivering essential cleaning services in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area such as patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, elevators and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities including dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture and trash disposal.
• Keeps assigned area stocked with supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.).
• Maintains stock on cleaning carts with wet and dry supplies.
• Maintain good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and deliver linens.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

What You Will Do

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.
• Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.
• Maintain good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds. Preferred Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

• High School or GED Equivalent
• One to three months related experience
