Job summary

Snow Hill Memory Care in North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe environment for residents. You will perform general cleaning duties across common areas and resident rooms, assist with laundry, and dispose of waste to keep the facility hygienic.

Responsibilities include stocking supplies, following safety protocols, and collaborating with staff to ensure residents are comfortable and respected at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing and mopping areas and rooms.
• Laundry Services: wash, fold, and distribute resident/staff laundry as needed.
• Waste Management: proper disposal of trash and recycling.
• Inventory Management: restock supplies and report shortages.
• Safety & Sanitation: follow protocols to keep environment clean and safe.
• Team Collaboration: work with staff to keep facility well-maintained.
• Resident Engagement: interact with residents in a friendly, respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
