Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation in New Orleans, LA seeks a housekeeping associate responsible for cleaning all member spaces and maintaining linen levels. You will stock supplies, strip and remake beds, clean surfaces, and support the Executive Housekeeper in daily operations.

This hourly role offers a flexible schedule from Wednesday to Sunday with benefits including PTO and health coverage. Applicants should be comfortable lifting up to 30 pounds and working in a hotel-like environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED desirable.
• One year of comparable work preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping or facilities maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock Room Attendant’s cart and hand caddy.
• Strip and remake beds with fresh linen.
• Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays.
• Wipes all window sills, walls and light switches.
• Vacuum rugs and floors.
• Dust furniture and fixtures.
• Check lamps for burned-out bulbs.
• Check drapes for missing hooks.
• Wipe mirrors and windows.
• Check heating and air conditioning unit for proper operation.
• Restock stationary.
• Clean and sanitize toilets.
• Wash tiles, tub, shower walls and fixtures.
• Wipe shower curtain.
• Clean sink and fixtures.
• Clean walls, baseboards and floor.
• Restock towels, wash cloths, soap, glasses and other supplies and amenities.
• Wash, dry and fold laundry.
• Stock storage rooms.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and climbing.
• Use ladders when required.
