• Follow safety precautions when handling cleaning supplies and operating equipment.
• Report damages or problems to management and maintenance.
• Demonstrate exceptional character in the performance of job duties—honest, energetic, trustworthy, etc.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning of all spaces and common areas.

Additional Duties:

• Clean and restock rooms with supplies such as tissue, toilet paper, towels, soap, etc.
• Perform general housekeeping such as vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, sweeping, polishing, dusting, emptying wastebaskets, etc.
• Follow safety precautions such as handling and using cleaning supplies for their intended purpose, storing chemical and cleaning supplies in appropriate locations with correct labeling, and operating equipment according to manufacturer's specifications
• Report damages or problems to management and maintenance
• Demonstrate exceptional character in the performance of job duties--honest, energetic, trustworthy, etc.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant customer service or custodial experience in an upscale hotel or country club setting is preferred
• Familiar with cleaning materials and equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work the required schedule and overtime
• Ability to communicate effectively with members and guests
• Work well with others as a team and help co-workers
• Maintain appropriate personal appearance standards
• Be on time and in prescribed Club uniform at all times
• Perform other duties as requested or required

Physical Requirements:

• Perform majority of work in a standing position with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and twisting
• Carry, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds several times per shift; up to 10 pounds frequently per shift
• Work in wet, humid environment and walk on wet surfaces
• Ability to use a step ladder and climb stairs (1 story) regularly
• Operate (push and pull) a commercial vacuum cleaner
