Position Details:

Part-time position working on weekdays and every other weekend.

Purpose:

Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, and attractive manner following established procedures and supervisor directives; ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at all times.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions necessary to perform the job.
• Ability to remain calm under stress and make decisions.
• Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, and officials.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly, understanding their needs.
• Availability to work full or part time on a regular schedule.
• Meeting all state health requirements.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Essential Functions:

• Follow cleaning schedules and instructions, including resident rooms, offices, and public areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, and clean all assigned areas.
• Polish furnishings, fixtures, and appliances in resident rooms and public areas.
• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, and ceilings as needed.
• Maintain hallways, stairways, and elevators.
• Empty wastebaskets and submit maintenance requests for repairs.
• Report unsafe conditions and assist with cleaning model rooms for new residents.
• Assist with laundry duties and inventory supplies.
• Follow infection control protocols and attend staff meetings.
• Maintain cleanliness of janitor closets and supply rooms.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including cleaning exterior areas.
