Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms and common areas, disinfecting surfaces, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to work independently and make independent decisions
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and the general public
• Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas
• Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, and seek out new methods and principles to incorporate into existing maintenance practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and trash removal
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and corridors
• Disinfect and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and furniture
• Empties ashtrays daily and cleans walls, ceilings, and floors as needed
• Reports hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions to supervisor
• Participates in infection control and universal precautions practices
• Maintains appearance of maintenance work areas and minimizes waste of supplies
• Provides exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff
• Demonstrates ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA requirements
