Job summary

Vasona Creek Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our environmental services team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, patients, and staff in a healthcare setting.

Full-time with Day/Evening shifts and a weekend rotation. You will clean rooms, sanitize areas, restock supplies, and report issues to maintain high infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, ideally in a healthcare or hospitality setting, but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds throughout the shift.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility for the weekend rotation schedule.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, hallways, and offices according to healthcare sanitation standards.
• Dust, mop, sweep, and vacuum floors.
• Empty trash and biohazard waste receptacles safely and dispose of contents properly.
• Replenish room supplies, including soap, paper towels, and tissues.
• Maintain and organize cleaning carts and supplies.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Adhere to all infection control policies, safety guidelines, and company procedures.
