Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Leesville is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to join our Environment of Care team. You will maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, following hospital procedures and safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of hospital housekeeping experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A high school diploma and CPR certification are preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hospital housekeeping experience preferred.
• Healthcare environment experience strongly preferred but not required.
• High attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and other spaces.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness following procedures.
• Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and disinfect areas.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste per policies.
• Restock housekeeping supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Follow infection prevention and safety guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Leesville is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our Environment of Care (EOC) team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates professionalism, and enjoys contributing to a positive healthcare environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hospital in accordance with established procedures.
• Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and disinfect assigned areas.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste according to hospital policies.
• Restock housekeeping supplies and notify the supervisor when inventory is low.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Follow infection prevention and safety guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• One (1) to three (3) years of housekeeping experience in a hospital, behavioral health, nursing home, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Previous environmental services experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Working Environment

This position is located within an inpatient behavioral health hospital. Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, moderate noise levels, and patients experiencing behavioral health crises. Freedom Behavioral Hospital is a smoke-free workplace.

Required Upon Hire
