Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Leesville is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to join our Environment of Care team. This role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff within an inpatient behavioral health hospital.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of hospital housekeeping experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to three years of hospital/behavioral health housekeeping experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hospital in accordance with established procedures.
• Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and disinfect assigned areas.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste according to hospital policies.
• Restock housekeeping supplies and notify the supervisor when inventory is low.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Follow infection prevention and safety guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates professionalism, and enjoys contributing to a positive healthcare environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hospital in accordance with established procedures.
• Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and disinfect assigned areas.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste according to hospital policies.

• Previous environmental services experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Working Environment

This position is located within an inpatient behavioral health hospital. Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, moderate noise levels, and patients experiencing behavioral health crises. Freedom Behavioral Hospital is a smoke-free workplace.

Required Upon Hire
