Job summary

Comfort Inn-Pocono Lakes Region in Lake Ariel, PA is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to handle room turnover and maintain brand standards. You will clean, stock, and inspect guest rooms, respond to guest requests, and coordinate with the front desk and supervisor to ensure quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include prioritizing rooms, stocking supplies, ensuring privacy, and reporting maintenance needs.

• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Check the inventory of cleaning cart and add necessary supplies.
• Always ensure privacy of guests.
• Knock and announce self before entering assigned guest rooms.
• Check amenities and supplies in rooms, restock according to standards.
• Neatly make beds and stock bath linens according to standard.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchen, and/or coffee stations.
• Remove all trash, dirty linens, towels, and room service items from rooms.
• Check that all appliances are in the room and in clean working order.
• Notify maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
• Ensure room meets hotel standards with final walk around.

Job description

Housekeepers handle all aspects of room turnover; ensuring all rooms are cared for and inspected according to Brand standards prior to guest check in. This includes removing and replenishing room linen, restocking guest amenities, and managing additional housekeeping tasks. This position is responsible for communicating with the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Manager and the front desk team on any damages or deficits in the room, equipment inadequacies, and guest requests. Must be customer-oriented and handle all guest interactions with professionalism and a friendly attitude.

Essential Functions:

• Receive list of assigned rooms from manager and prioritize rooms.
• Clean, stock and maintain assigned guest rooms according to Brand and Company Standards.
• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Check the inventory of cleaning cart and add necessary supplies; transport cart to assigned floor/rooms.
• Always ensure privacy of guests.
• Knock and announce self before entering assigned guest rooms; return later if room is occupied.
• Check amenities and supplies in rooms, restock according to standards.
• Neatly make beds and stock bath linens according to standard.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchen, and/or coffee stations.
• Remove all trash, dirty linens, towels, and room service items from rooms.
• Check that all appliances are in the room and in clean working order.
• Straighten desk area and furniture.
• Dust, polish furniture and remove marks / stains from walls and furnishings.
• Vacuum carpets and clean floors.
• Notify maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
• Ensure room meets hotel standards with final walk around.
• Ensure soiled linens are laundered, which may include loading hotel washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels.
• Take found items to designated lost and found area.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Physical Requirements:

Physically capable of standing for long hours.

Hours: 8 AM Start Time Monday-Friday, 9 AM Start Time on Sundays
