Anne Carlsen in Jamestown, ND is hiring an Infection Control Housekeeper to maintain patient and non-patient areas, ensuring health, safety, and infection control standards. You will follow weekly, monthly, and yearly cleaning schedules, using mops, chemicals, and cleaning equipment to provide high-quality cleanliness and infection prevention.

The role requires adherence to OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen standards and reporting repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience or ability to learn chemical used for infection control.
• Prefer general knowledge of cleaning equipment such as mops, vacuums, brushes, and floor machines.
• Ability to learn and follow cleaning and safety procedures and learn operation of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; understand material safety data sheets (SDS).
• Required to use a ladder for certain cleaning requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all patient and non-patient environments to meet health, safety, and infection control standards.
• Follow weekly, monthly, yearly cleaning schedules with consistent quality.
• Disinfect bathrooms and furniture; mop floors daily and ensure areas are free from infectious disease.
• Observe and report needed repairs to Plant Operations Manager and adhere to OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen standards.

Job Description

The position of Infection Control Housekeeper maintains all patient and non-patient environments to ensure standards of health, safety, and infection control. This position is responsible for cleanliness of facility efficiently and completely as directed; follows special cleaning weekly, monthly, yearly scheduled as required with consistent quality; utilizes equipment such as mops, housekeeping carts, chemicals, supplies, etc. Provides the highest level of service to prevent the risk of infection, observes and reports needed repair of equipment, furniture, building and fixtures as necessary to the Plant Operations Manager. This position will implement required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing and/or moving of objects/materials and or cleaning of blood, infectious materials or soiled linen in accordance with OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standard and/or Anne Carlsen’s policies and exposure control plan for Blood-borne Pathogens to include but not limited to: disinfecting furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc.; wet mop floors daily, disinfect bathrooms. This position will be required to maintain all areas free from infectious disease.

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)

Education and/or years’ experience required:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
