Purpose: To maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, and attractive manner following established procedures and supervisor instructions, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written directions
• Ability to remain calm under stress and make decisions
• Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, and the public
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
• Availability to work full or part-time on a regular schedule
• Meet all state health requirements

Essential Functions:

• Follow cleaning schedules and instructions
• Clean and polish resident rooms, offices, and public areas
• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, ceilings, and fixtures
• Maintain hallways, stairways, and elevators
• Empty wastebaskets and manage laundry duties as needed
• Report maintenance issues and unsafe conditions
• Prepare rooms for new residents and maintain supply inventory
• Adhere to infection control policies
• Attend training and staff meetings
• Perform exterior cleaning as required
