Job summary

Erickson Senior Living's Eagle’s Trace community in West Houston, Texas, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain residents’ homes and common areas. You will use specialized equipment to keep the community clean and safe for residents and visitors alike.

This full-time position offers a starting wage of $14.25 per hour, with a Sunday–Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401(k) match, plus onsite wellness resources for team members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cleaning in residential or commercial settings is ideal.
• Ability to safely operate carpet and hard floor care equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to safely operate housekeeping vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning resident’s homes in Independent Living or Nursing Home rooms.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Community using specialized equipment.
• Cleaning public bathrooms, lobbies, and living areas.
• Cleaning classrooms and common spaces; dusting, vacuuming, windows, and trash removal.

Job description

Location: Eagle's Trace by Erickson Senior Living. Join our team as a Housekeeper for our gated retirement community. All of our clients are located within our community, so no travel is involved!

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, starting at $14.25 / hr

Schedule: Work Sunday - Thursday, 8am-4:30pm

How you will make an impact

• Cleaning resident’s homes in Independent Living or Resident Rooms in Nursing Home
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Community through the use of specialized equipment.
• Cleaning public bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, fixtures
• Cleaning lobbies/living rooms including vacuuming, high and low dusting, de-cluttering, and removing trash, spot clean walls/windows/switches, baseboards, pictures, lights, HVAC vents.
• Cleaning classrooms, including dusting, vacuuming, white/chalkboards, tables/chairs
• Assisting with the collection, bagging, and disposal of trash, as well as replacing trashcan liners
• Maintaining carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming.

What you will need

• Previous experience cleaning in a residential or commercial setting is ideal
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
• Ability to safely operate Housekeeping vehicles
• Ability to demonstrate professional and responsive interactions with residents and their family members, staff, vendors, and each other
