Job summary

Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet, New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to maintain a safe, clean environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

You will work part-time, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, ensuring resident rooms, common areas, and equipment are clean and well-maintained in compliance with safety and PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in healthcare settings, with nursing home experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and dust floors.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, basins, resident beds, and furniture.
• Vacuum and dust equipment, computers, and phones.
• Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, nurses’ stations, visitor bathrooms, and nourishment/medication refrigerators under nursing supervision.
• Empty wastebaskets and restock rooms with supplies.
• Perform high-dusting and special cleaning tasks, assist with regulatory audits preparations.
• Report repairs promptly and follow safety and dress code policies.
• Assist orienting new staff and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Respond to pages and assist with emergency duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, nurses’ stations, visitor bathrooms, and nourishment/medication refrigerators under nursing supervision.

• Empty wastebaskets regularly and restock rooms with necessary supplies.

• Perform high-dusting, special cleaning projects, and assist in preparations for regulatory audits.

• Report repair needs promptly and follow safety and dress code policies.

• Assist with orienting new staff and take part in performance improvement activities.

• Respond to pages and perform emergency duties as needed to support resident welfare and facility operations.

Qualifications
