Job summary

Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet, New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The role supports resident welfare and facility operations by performing routine cleaning tasks on floors, equipment, and rooms.

The position is part-time (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) with a focus on adherence to PPE and safety standards; prior healthcare or nursing home experience is preferred to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required, minimum 2 years.
• Nursing home experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and dust floors.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, basins, resident beds, and furniture.
• Vacuum and dust equipment, computers, and phones.
• Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, nurses’ stations, visitor bathrooms, and nourishment/medication refrigerators under nursing supervision.
• Empty wastebaskets regularly and restock rooms with necessary supplies.
• Perform high-dusting, special cleaning projects, and assist in preparations for regulatory audits.
• Report repair needs promptly and follow safety and dress code policies.
• Assist with orienting new staff and take part in performance improvement activities.
• Respond to pages and perform emergency duties as needed to support resident welfare and facility operations.
