Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities is hiring a Housekeeper to support residents with daily cleaning tasks in their rooms and common areas. You will visit residents to build rapport while maintaining nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, and clinic areas.

Expected schedule includes Full-Time 8:30am-4:30pm or PRN; benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401(k) with company match, PTO, holidays, and paid leave. Pay starts at $16/hour with growth based on experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in similar environment preferred.
• Ability to understand/speak English for safe, efficient performance.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform all housekeeping tasks following established schedules and methods.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report repairs as needed.
• Operate washers/dryers, vacuum cleaners, and call systems.
• Demonstrate service orientation to residents and coworkers.
• Be flexible in duties and scheduling.

A Housekeeper will provide one-on-one support to our residents by performing daily cleaning tasks in their rooms. We like to think we are visitors in their home, and you will have the opportunity to get to know each resident on a personal level. You will also be responsible for cleaning nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices and clinic areas.

Schedule:

• Full-Time 8:30am-4:30pm*
• PRN (as needed)*

Housekeeper Responsibilities:

• Perform all housekeeping-related tasks while demonstrating service orientation to fellow co-workers, residents.
• Perform basic cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
• Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and recommends repairs as needed.
• Observe and report the general need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures.
• Operate washers and dryers, vacuum cleaner, call bell/intercom/telephone systems, and other housekeeping equipment deemed necessary and appropriate.
• Approaches work with a flexible attitude.

Housekeeper Requirements:

• Prior experience in similar environment preferred.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
