Job summary

Volante Senior Living in Grapevine, TX, is seeking a Weekend Full-time Housekeeper to join our team in a dual role with Laundry and Maintenance duties.

You will clean resident apartments weekly, maintain common areas, stock supplies, and assist with light maintenance to keep spaces clean, safe and welcoming for residents and staff.

We value reliability, discretion, and a friendly attitude, with training provided on community policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in residential or hotel housekeeping or laundry.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to read labels and instructions for all chemicals used in the Community and able to use them safely and properly.
• Detail oriented and thorough.
• Ability to remain discreet and respect privacy of residents and/or guests.
• Ability to understand and take oral and written directions

WeekendFull timeThis position is a dual role of Housekeeper Laundry Assistant and Maintenance Assistant. The maintenance part will be helping with room turns and other light maintenance needs.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Contribute to team effort by being flexible in work assignments; by furnishing support; by taking initiative; and byunderstanding how this position affects and compliments all other Community positions.
• Immediately report any suspected abuse, neglect or misappropriation of resident funds or property to immediatesupervisor.
• Provides cleaning services to resident apartments weekly including the following tasks: changing sheets andmaking beds, vacuuming, cleaning bathroom, tub, and sink, dusting, emptying trash receptacles, and cleaning kitchenso that resident apartments will stay clean, clutter-free, and odor-free.
• Dusts, vacuums, and mops all common areas routinely and as needed to maintain a clean environment.
• Dusts, vacuums, straighten, and empty trash in all offices and beauty shop.
• Washes walls, windows, and woodwork as needed to keep clean.
• Empties all wastebasket and trash receptacles and ashtrays and takes gathered trash to Dumpster as needed tomaintain an odor-free and sanitary environment.
• Keeps all public restrooms clean and stocked with appropriate supplies for the convenience of residents, staff, andvisitors.
• Works efficiently in order to complete all assigned tasks during the shift.
• Keeps utility, storage, and laundry rooms in clean and orderly condition. Cleans lint traps as necessary to prevent a fire hazard.
• Disinfects and sterilizes equipment such as mops, brooms, and cleaning materials such as cloths.Cleans rugs,carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies as assigned.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Able to maintain work pace appropriate to given workload. Perform activities on schedule while maintainingregular attendance and punctuality within specified tolerance.
• Operate commercial washer and dryer and other cleaning equipment normally associated with position.
• Stock laundry and cleaning cart with supplies. Maintain clean laundry room and keep chemicals in orderly fashion.
• Fold linens and resident clothing articles. Follow laundering procedures.
• Change resident bedding.
• Identify resident linen by labeling unit number on nametags.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize common areas, common restrooms, and residents' rooms and bathrooms.
• Be familiar with Volante Senior Living Policies & Procedures Manual and Volante Senior Living Team MemberHandbook.
• Maintains appropriate degree of confidentiality of all pertinent personal or health information concerningresidents and staff.
• Completes all mandatory compliance, HIPAA and state and federal regulatory training as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned and which relate to the success of Volante Senior Living.
• Provide support to other departments, as directed.
