• General understanding of housekeeping techniques as outlined by state and government regulations.
• Use of chemicals and cleansers when performing duties.
• Follow health care housekeeping procedures and infection control.
• Use proper safety, environmental, and infection control procedures.
• Clean and sanitize lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, offices and client rooms.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
• Dust furniture.
• Empties wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal area; replenish bathroom supplies.
• Basic computer usage.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies or blinds.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.
• Complete reports as requested.
• Other duties as assigned

Join our Housekeeping team in a friendly and clean environment! We are looking for a PART-TIME staff member to work 20 hours per week in our Gary location.

Porter-Starke Services is a non-profit community health center with offices in Northwest Indiana, including Valparaiso, Portage, Knox, Gary, and Hebron. Our full continuum of care serves adults, families, adolescents, and children with mental health or substance abuse issues.
