Sisters of St. Benedict in Ferdinand, Indiana, are seeking a full-time housekeeper to maintain the historic monastery, ensuring rooms stay clean while protecting 150-year-old beauty.

You will perform cleaning tasks, operate cleaning equipment, and support a friendly, professional environment with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of related experience.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Customer-oriented and friendly.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing.
• Ensure all rooms/areas are cared for and inspected according to standards.
• Operate, clean and maintain all equipment involved in regular and deep cleaning -- Automatic scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, shampooers, vacuums, suction machine, etc.
• Notify supervisor on any damages, deficits and disturbances.
• Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
