Job summary

Join The Daughters of Charity Ministries, Inc. as a Full Time Housekeeper on our campus. You’ll help maintain a clean, safe environment for Sister-residents, visitors and staff under the direction of the Facilities Director.

We value independents who work well with care teams, follow infection control and safety guidelines, respect privacy and maintain discretion. Previous housekeeping or custodial experience in healthcare or senior living is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or custodial work, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• Must be able to work 7:00am-3:30pm with some weekends/holidays.
• Physically able to stand, walk most of the day and lift up to 50 lbs.

The Daughters of Charity, provides a safe, welcoming home for the retired Sisters of the Daughters of Charity Ministries. We offer independent living, assisted living and memory care and our team plays a vital role in creating an environment where Sisters feel respected.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for our Sister-residents, visitors and staff on our campus. This role reports to the Facilities Director.

What You'll Do

• Maintain general building interior including all assigned spaces including offices, rooms, parlors and other Sister-resident spaces.


• Trash Removal.


• Perform commercial and personal laundry duties.


• Clean and sanitize non-public bathrooms.


• Maintain guest rooms for visitors.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the maintenance and care teams. They will consistently follow infection control, safety, and standard precaution guidelines while demonstrating strong attention to detail and reliability in completing assigned tasks. The successful candidate will respect the privacy and dignity of Sister-residents, maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times. They will be dependable, punctual, and able to work assigned schedules. Previous experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or custodial work, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment, is preferred.

Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm, some weekends and holidays required

Physical Demands: Must be physically able to efficiently perform the duties of the position, which may involve the following: standing and walking over 2/3 of the day, lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending, reaching, and stooping for 1/3 to 2/3 of the day.
