We are seeking a dependable and flexible Housekeeper to support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the Sisters of Mercy. This role is essential to daily life within the community and directly supports the comfort, dignity, and well-being of those who live and work here.

What You’ll Do
Daily Cleaning & Care
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
- Dust furniture and fixtures
- Vacuum carpets and rugs; mop and maintain floors
- Clean bathrooms including sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs
- Restock housekeeping supplies and maintain inventory
- Complete periodic deep and annual cleaning as assigned
Safety & Infection Control
- Follow all safety and infection‑control procedures, including proper use of PPE
- Report hazards, defective equipment, or environmental concerns promptly
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe environment at all times
Team & Community Support
- Communicate respectfully with coworkers, Sisters, visitors, and staff
- Demonstrate initiative by noticing what needs to be done and taking action
- Follow all policies, procedures, and community guidelines
- Assist with other duties as needed
What You Bring
Required
- Minimum of 2 years of professional residential or housekeeping experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and safe chemical use
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and service-focused
- Willingness to assist beyond assigned tasks when needed
Preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in a healthcare, residential, or religious setting
- Appreciation for the mission and values of the Sisters of Mercy
