Masonic Village at Elizabethtown is hiring a Housekeeper for full-time day shifts (7am-3pm) with no weekend work. Pay starts at $15/hour and increases with experience.

We provide training to set you up for success in housekeeping and offer growth potential within our mission-driven organization. As a Housekeeper you will support our Mission of Love by keeping environments clean, safe, and healthy through routine tasks in resident apartments, cottages, and common areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe environment by performing housekeeping duties including dusting, disinfecting high touch points, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
• Maintains routine cleaning schedule for resident apartments, cottages, common spaces, offices and restrooms.
• Reports environmental situations that could threaten safety or well-being of residents and staff.
• Assists with cleaning of renovated accommodations and prepares units for new residency after renovations.
• Uses cleaning agents safely and in accordance with established standards for housekeeping procedures in the Health Care Center and Personal Care.
• Assists with cleaning of resident rooms during vacancy and transfers, helps residents with packing/unpacking and removes personal belongings and trash from vacated units.
• Monitors and disposes of household waste in line with regulations; assists with snow operations as needed.
• Keeps work areas and vehicles clean and safe; handles tools and equipment properly; completes CMMS work orders and documents work performed.

Housekeeper

Full Time | Days (7am - 3pm) | No Weekends!

Pay: Starting at $15/hr (Based on experience)

As a Housekeeper you will carry out our Mission of Love by providing the best quality environmental housekeeping service, through continuous training, to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.

Our Housekeeper is responsible for the following:

• Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe environment by insuring all housekeeping standards are met while performing all assigned housekeeping duties. Duties include dusting, disinfecting high touch points, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.


• Maintains a routine schedule for cleaning assigned resident apartments and cottages, indoor and outdoor common space, employee service areas, offices and public restrooms.


• Reports upon first notice any environmental situation which could pose a threat to the safety or well-being of residents and staff.


• Perform specified, detail cleaning of renovated accommodations, preparing for new residency as renovation process are completed.


• Display safe and effective use of cleaning agents to accomplish assigned tasks in accordance with the standards established by Masonic Village as it applies to housekeeping procedures in the Health Care Center and Personal Care.


• Assists with cleaning of resident rooms upon vacancy and transfers. Assists residents with packing, unpacking, storing, and moving personal belongings. Removes all personal belongings and trash from vacated units. Inspects condition of vacated units and reports findings to the Environmental Services Supervisor.


• Monitors and disposes of household waste and regulated medical waste in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.


• Assists with snow operations on campus by shoveling and salting during winter weather conditions including the possibility of off hours call-in.


• Maintains work areas and vehicles in an orderly and clean manner, maintaining a safe work place. Performs tasks in a safe manner. Insures the proper care and use of tools, equipment and supplies.


• Completes computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) generated work orders and provides clear documentation of work as required. Generates work orders for additional work or tasks identified in the field and completes or submits them as appropriate. Maintains an accurate record of time for cost distribution and payroll.

Our Housekeeper should meet the following qualifications:

• A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.


• Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.


• Willingness to receive on-the-job training.
