Job summary

Heritage of Clara Barton Assisted Living Community in Edison, NJ is looking for a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our Residents.

Hours are 8AM-4PM, but we can be flexible. The Housekeeper will clean Resident apartments, restrooms, common areas, as well as office and surrounding areas, and assist with residents' laundry as needed to support a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must be thorough with cleaning practices.
• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or similar setting is a plus.
• Experience working with seniors is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments, restrooms, common areas, and offices according to housekeeping standards.
• Assist with residents' laundry when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, guests and staff.

Job description

At the present time we are looking for anHousekeeper/Laundry Aide to help create a clean and comfortable environment for our Residents at our Assisted Living Community.

Hour are 8AM-4PM but we can be flexible.

The Housekeeper will clean Resident apartments, restrooms, common areas, as well as office and surrounding areas according to housekeeping standards and procedures and sometimes do residents laundry. You will assist where needed to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for Residents, guests and staff.

Qualifications:

• A pleasant and courteous demeanor when dealing with peers, supervisors, guest, residents and management

• Must be very thorough with cleaning practices

• Experience providing cleaning services in the restaurant, healthcare, hospital, hotel, hospitality or similar industry a plus

• Experience working with a senior population preferred

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while dealing with a demanding customer

• Must be able to communicate in English
