Job summary

Sonida Senior Living in East Lansing is seeking a friendly Housekeeper to help create a welcoming, safe home for residents. You'll handle cleaning, laundry, and basic maintenance with a caring attitude and dependable teamwork.

This on-site role offers competitive hourly pay of $17.00, with benefits including education support, PTO, and a 401(k). Prior experience in senior living or healthcare is a plus, and a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service is preferred.
• License/certification, if applicable
• Caring attitude and reliable attendance
• High school graduate or GED preferred
• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred; familiarity with minor repairs to buildings, electrical, plumbing, safety systems
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks.
• Familiarizes self with cleaning schedules of Residents’ apartments and common areas to assure completion of housekeeping tasks.
• Performs housekeeping, janitorial tasks, and minor repairs as assigned.
• Assures that other janitorial and repair requests are properly logged and monitors their completion.
• Provides laundry services as needed and/or directed.

As a Housekeeper, you'll help create a welcoming, safe, and caring home for our residents. THE STARTING RATE:

$17.00 per hour

The Day-to-day

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful
