Job summary

Ebenezer in Coralville, IA is seeking a part-time Housekeeper for a day shift to join our senior cooperative team at Vintage Cooperative Coralville. The role focuses on providing a clean, safe and odor-free environment for residents, staff and visitors by cleaning assigned areas of the building.

The schedule is 24 hours every two weeks with no weekend work. You will clean, maintain equipment, follow safety procedures and communicate needs for supplies and repairs.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of previous experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas of the building to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Operates cleaning equipment and uses chemicals safely.
• Monitors and restocks supplies; reports needs.
• Works with body mechanics to lift and move items safely.
• Completes tasks within scheduled time and priority order.

Job Overview

Ebenezer is looking for a Housekeeper to join our senior cooperative team at Vintage Cooperative Coralville in Coralville, Iowa! This position provides a clean, safe and odor free environment for residents, staff and visitors. Cleans assigned areas of the building.

This environmental services schedule includes;

• 24 hours every two weeks
• Part time; Day shift
• No weekends

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas of building:
• Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops hard floor surfaces, dusts and/or damp wipes surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms, cleans all glass windows/mirrors.
• Prioritizes tasks and completes within allotted time.
• Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
• Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment:
• Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions.
• Safely executes housekeeping tasks, such as the proper way to bend, push, pull and lift.
• Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords, wet floor signs, etc.
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies:
• Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on daily basis.
• Keeps supplies and tools locked at all times.
• Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked.
• Communicates need for equipment repairs.
