Job summary

The Magnolia is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our senior living facility.

In this role you will perform general cleaning, laundry support, waste management, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents. You will work closely with staff to maintain high standards and engage with residents in a respectful, friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, common areas, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry services for residents and staff as needed.
• Dispose of trash and recycling; keep waste areas clean and organized.
• Maintain and restock cleaning supplies and equipment; report shortages.
• Follow safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Collaborate with staff to keep the facility well-maintained and residents comfortable.
• Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols
