Job summary

Landmark of Cicero is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness of residential rooms and all areas of the facility in accordance with IL Dept of Public Health guidelines. The role is part-time, with weekend and holiday requirements, reporting to the Director of Housekeeping.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong written and oral communication, and basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel). CPI and Dementia CPI training are provided during the first week.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skill.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the facility to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
• Deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
• De-escalate crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Aim to reach minimal proficiency of tasks by the end of three months.
• Understand principles of direct patient care and basic observations.

Hours: Weekends ONLY!!! (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays)

Housekeeper

Job Knowledge/Duties:

This is a part-time position working 24 hours weekly with weekend and holiday requirements. Housekeepers are on campus 24/7 and ensure cleanliness of residential rooms and all areas of the facility in accordance to the IL Dept of Public Health guidelines. Will report to the Director of Housekeeping.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years of age

• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skill.

• Have intermediate computer skills, report writing and event logging using software (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• CPI and Dementia CPI within first week of hire provided by Facility

Responsibilities:

• The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning all areas of the facility in order to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.

• Ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.

• Ability to de-escalate crisis situations calmly and efficiently

• Should obtain minimal level of proficiency of tasks through experience by the end of three months.

• Knowledge of principles of direct patient care, certain treatments, basic observations and essential points of care about emergency patients.

• Requires high level of mental alertness to avoid error and negative consequences to patients.

• Physical abilities must allow for frequent working, stooping, bending, and frequent lifting and moving of patients.

• All other duties as assigned
