Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Housekeeper to help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and team members.

You will perform a range of cleaning tasks, manage laundry, and ensure privacy and safety in all resident spaces while following infection-control standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to clean and sanitize resident rooms and shared spaces.
• Respect for residents' privacy and safety procedures.
• Attention to infection-control standards and safe chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident suites, bathrooms, common areas, and offices.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas.
• Clean and polish fixtures, furniture, and surfaces.
• Knock before entering resident rooms and respect privacy.
• Collect trash and maintain clean disposal areas.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute community laundry.
• Inspect linens for wear and follow replacement procedures.
• Store chemicals safely and follow infection control standards.
• Keep carts, equipment, and hallways clear and compliant.
• You play an important role in maintaining comfort, dignity, and safety throughout the community.
