Job summary

Maryville in Beaverton, Oregon is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. Shifts are 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms and common areas, following infection control and safety policies, managing supplies, and providing friendly service. Qualifications include a high school diploma and fluent English; healthcare housekeeping experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to pass criminal background check.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize and maintain resident rooms and common areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, trash, dusting, and mopping.
• Reports maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Follow infection control protocols, health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replacements as needed.
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents, guests, or coworkers.
• Follows all safety, OSHA, and infection control regulations.
• Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with special cleaning projects or events as assigned

This position ensures compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and all applicable state and federal regulations. This is a full-time position with scheduled hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Must be available to work rotating weekends.

• Reports maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to pass the criminal background check required of all campus employees.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control standards preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, long-term care or hospitality preferred.- Must be able to read, understand and speak English fluently.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Works in temperature-controlled office areas, but frequently moves through the entire facility, including patient rooms, and common lobbies.
• Characterized by moderate noise levels with frequent interruptions.
• Required to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift, push, pull or move at least 50 pounds independently.
• Requires regular bending, stooping, reaching, strong dexterity, and kneeling.
• Able to lift 35 pounds frequently, up to 60 pounds occasionally.
