Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a diligent Housekeeping Associate to maintain cleanliness across lobbies, rest rooms, and public areas in a busy gaming environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, dusting, windows, and fixture upkeep, restocking supplies, and responding to housekeeping requests. The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Must be able to work as a team with other employees.
• Ability to use and control various mechanical equipment.
• Must be able to operate cleaning chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Cleans lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, ramps, Prom areas, and patron parking lot.
• Machine sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Washes window glass, door panels, and sills.
• Cleans wall and ceiling fixtures. Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes restroom supplies.
• Responds to calls for Housekeeping problems (i.e., broken glass, spills, backups, etc.).
• Employees may be required to perform duties outside of their normal job descriptions where needed.

Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Must be able to work as a team with other employees.
• Ability to use and control various mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work around dust.
• Ability to maneuver in small, limited spaces.
• Ability to transport all supplies to and from work areas.
• Must be able to maneuver up and down stairs and reach above shoulder level.
• Must be able to work in areas containing second-hand smoke.
• Must be able to operate equipment, including: vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mop, and broom.
• Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and be able to handle chemical fumes and airborne particles (on occasion).
• Must be able to walk, stand, and work on hands and knees for long periods of time.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
