Sage-Haus is seeking a House Manager with a meal prep focus for a busy Encinitas, CA family. This part-time role supports school pickups, meal planning, and household operations in a private home.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-directed, and comfortable engaging with children while maintaining a calm, proactive approach. The position offers consistent hours and compensation based on experience, with a strong emphasis on reliable home management.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Vaccinations in line with CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines (including COVID-19 and flu).

Responsibilities

• School and sports pickups, Monday through Friday.
• Occasional backup childcare with prior arrangement.
• Meal planning, shopping for and preparing 3–4 family dinners per week.
• Batch cooking and menu planning; follow existing recipe playbook.
• Grocery shopping (Costco, Trader Joe’s, Target, Instacart, Amazon) and daily kitchen clean-up.
• Laundry, linen care, and maintaining tidy, stocked laundry areas.
• Maintain and improve household organization systems (pantry, fridge, closets).
• Daily resets and prep before biweekly cleaner visits; light tidying and dishwasher duties.
• Indoor plant care and packing/unpacking for travel.
• Coordination of vendor access and property maintenance, pool/spa and outdoor spaces.
• Deep cleaning and seasonal projects; calendar management for household activities.
• Travel planning and event coordination for family.
