Job summary

The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is seeking a PRN Night Shift Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and ensure high standards of psychiatric patient care at our Greer, SC facility.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, monitoring policy adherence, and assisting in staffing decisions during the night shift. Active SC RN licensure and 1–3 years of psychiatric experience are preferred, with shift hours from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license required.
• Multi-state compact acceptable with SC listed.
• 1–3 years' psychiatric healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure coordinated delivery of patient care per standards of care and hospital policy.
• Monitor policy adherence and provide staff guidance as a resource.
• Assist in developing staffing schedules based on patient acuity and staffing grids.
• Continuously evaluate staff morale and relationships and suggest improvements.
• Provide supervision and direction to nursing staff and handle disciplinary actions when indicated.

Shift Supervisor (House Supervisor RN)

The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently hiring a PRN Night Shift Nursing Supervisor to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives.

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice
• Monitor that staff are implementing policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff
• Assist in developing staffing schedules in accordance with patient acuity and staffing grid
• Continually evaluate the activities, morale and interpersonal relationships of the program staff and promote methods to improve these areas
• Assist in providing supervision and direction in accordance with Nursing Department's goals and objectives to all nursing staff and conducts disciplinary actions where indicated

Qualifications

Education: RN License Required. South Carolina registered nurse license with current registration required. Multi-state license with South Carolina included in the compact is also acceptable.

Experience: A minimum of one to three (1‑3) years experience required, prefer experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility.

Work Hours: Night shift: 7:00 pm‑7:30 am. All shifts include every other weekend. May be asked to work overtime and flexible hours.

Machines, Tools, & Equipment: Telephone, Shower/Bath, Audio‑visual equipment, EKG machine, Thermometer, Refrigerator, Radio, Blood Pressure Cuff, Vitals machine, Housekeeping and supplies, Copy Machine, Physical Restraints, First Aid items, and Shredder.
