Providence St. Joseph's Hospital is seeking an Administrative Nursing Supervisor to provide nursing administration during evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts, ensuring quality patient care and smooth unit operations.
You will coordinate activities, act as the on-shift administrator, and travel between campuses as needed. This role supports the Nursing Services Manager by handling day-to-day operations, maintaining emergencies leadership, and promoting Providence's patient-centered care
The Administrative Nursing Supervisor provides nursing administration on evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts ensuring comprehensive nursing services and quality patient care. The Nursing Supervisor provides day-to-day management of unit operations, thus allowing the Nursing Services Manager opportunity to focus on long-term planning, budget, goals, outcomes, decision‑making and other higher‑level management functions. The Nursing Supervisor acts as a representative of administration and coordinates hospital and department activities on assigned shift. The Nursing Supervisor has administrative authority during their assigned shift and is the initial Incident Commander in any situation where Emergency Codes are activated. The Nursing Supervisor will be required to travel between both campuses.
