Job summary

Dignity Health - Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a House Supervisor to organize and oversee patient care delivery during an assigned shift. You will monitor the environment for smooth hospital operations and allocate resources as needed.

You will document staffing and administrative records, ensure compliance with governmental policies, and present documentation to senior staff, while providing nursing care as needed and keeping patients and families informed about care requirements.

Qualifications

• ADN required; RN license in CA in good standing (CA).
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience and 1 year of leadership experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA.

Every day you will assess and allocate resources as needed. Provide input to employee performance and assist in the coaching of staff members.

To be successful in this role, you will document daily staffing and administrative records and maintain compliance with governmental policies and procedures. Presents documentation to senior staff and provide nursing care to patients on an as needed basis. Maintain communication to patient and family members regarding care needed.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and one (1) year of leadership experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with CA board.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from AHA
