Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Santa Maria, CA seeks a House Supervisor to act as a central care coordinator, empowering our frontline nursing teams to deliver exceptional patient experiences and drive operational excellence.

You will advocate for nurses, lead 1:1 discussions with physicians and family advocates, and ensure accountability and top performance across the unit. Strong communication is essential for patient outcomes and staff growth.

Qualifications

• Associates of Nursing is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years acute experience as a Registered nurse within the last six (6) years.
• Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience
• Registered Nurse: Current CA RN License
• Basic Life Support - CPR BLS

Responsibilities

• Organizes and oversees patient care delivery during an assigned shift.
• Monitors and assesses current environment for smooth hospital operations.
• Assesses and allocates resources as needed.
• Provides input to employee performance. Assists in the coaching of staff members.
• Documents daily staffing and administrative records and maintains compliance with governmental policies and procedures. Presents documentation to senior staff.
• Provides nursing care to patients on an as needed basis. Maintains communication to patient and family members regarding care needed.

Pay Range

$58.68 - $89.32 /hour
