Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking a House Supervisor to oversee daily hospital operations across patient care departments. You will supervise staff, coordinate activities, address issues, and maintain a safe, supportive environment to ensure high-quality patient care during nights and weekends.

Required are an RN license, BLS/ACLS, and nursing education completed; a BSN is preferred, with 3+ years of hospital nursing experience and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications before starting first shift.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Five years of hospital nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of patient care departments within the hospital.
• Supervise staff, coordinate activities, and address issues as they arise.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment and ensure policy adherence.

Overview

The House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of various patient care departments within the hospital. This role ensures efficient workflow, adherence to policies, and high-quality support services that contribute to excellent patient care. The House Supervisor role also will be supervising staff, coordinating activities, addressing issues as they arise, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from a school of nursing.
• Experience: Three years of hospital nursing experience.
• Licensure: Current RN (Registered Nurse) License in the applicable state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS before beginning first shift

Preferred

• Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Experience: Five years of hospital nursing experience
