Kiawah Island Golf Resort is seeking a detail-oriented House Person to support daily housekeeping operations on-site at our luxury resort near Charleston, SC. The role involves assisting room attendants, delivering linens, stocking closets, and maintaining cleanliness across assigned floors.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, reliable English communication, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of previous housekeeping or related experience.
• Computer proficiency in Excel and Word preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Successful completion of required training and certification for the position.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsabilités

• Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens.
• Deliver linens and supplies to room attendants and stock closets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets and vending areas.
• Respond to guest requests for housekeeping supplies promptly.
• Clean designated areas including restrooms, fixtures, and storage areas.
• Use radio and RGuest app to accept department requests.
• Monitor supplies and minimize waste across housekeeping.
• Restock work areas for next shift.
• Report faulty equipment or shortages to supervisor.
• Uphold resort policies and complete other projects as assigned.

Position Summary: The House Person will be responsible for the daily ownership and operational execution of the Housekeeping Department. This will include the processing of tasks. Teamwork amongst all housekeeping staff, as well as the ability to perform the daily tasks required for the position, form the foundation on which each individual is able to develop and succeed within the department.

Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education – High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum Experience – Previous experience of one year a plus.
• Computer efficient in both Excel and Word is preferred.
• Must work both independently and in a team environment.
• Successfully complete the training and certification process for this position.
• Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

• Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens.
• Deliver linens and other supplies to room attendants and stock closets on assigned floors.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets and vending areas.
• Respond to guests' requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies in a timely and efficient manner in respect to our standards.
• Clean other designated areas such as public restrooms, fixtures, vending areas, storage areas, and other public areas for assigned floors.
• Able to utilize the radio system as well as the RGuest application to accept requests inputted by all departments at the hotel.
• Familiarity with the duties responsible for attending to the chutes as well as the carpets.
• Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
• Assist with collecting newspaper and other items for recycling.
• Ability to follow directions, perform tasks with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and follow-through.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Replenish supplies and equipment as needed during the shift.
• Report any faulty equipment, linen shortages, maintenance needs, safely hazards and other problems immediately to your supervisor.
• Restock work areas for the next shift as assigned.
• Upholds the core values and policies & procedures of the resort.
• Complete other projects in public areas, rooms, or any other locations as assigned.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds across short-medium distance.
• Reading and counting is essential.
• Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
