Job summary

Aspire of Illinois is seeking a Team Leader / House Manager to supervise community homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Lake County, IL. You will lead DSP teams, ensure person-centered support, and maintain compliant, safe home operations.

You will work closely with Life Consultants and families to empower independence and community participation, while upholding dignity and accountability in a hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, coach, and develop DSP team members.
• Provide person-centered support aligned with Individual Service Plans and advocate for dignity and independence.
• Oversee home and program operations including safety, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
• Work hands-on; provide direct support at least one shift weekly and coverage as needed.
