Job summary

Aspire Chicago is seeking a Team Leader / House Manager to oversee daily operations of assigned community homes for adults with disabilities, providing leadership to DSPs and partnering with Life Consultants and families to ensure individualized, dignified support.

This hands-on role manages staffing, budgets, training, compliance, and continuity of care, while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment and championing person-centered values and community inclusion.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience supporting individuals with IDD; supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; minimum age 21.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, coach, and develop DSP team members and manage staffing schedules.
• Conduct hiring, onboarding, training, evaluations, and performance management.
• Provide on‑call leadership and hands‑on coverage as needed.
• Ensure services align with Individual Service Plans and advocate for dignity and independence.
• Oversee home operations, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
• Promote a collaborative culture and monthly team meetings.
