Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across two properties: main residence and guest/event home.
  • Lead in-house team of housekeepers, chef, and groundskeeper.
  • Keep properties guest-ready with a meticulous, peaceful environment.
  • Maintain household manuals, vendor lists and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Refine or create SOPs for seamless operations.
  • Guide staff and vendors on safe handling around art collections.
  • Source vendors, obtain quotes, and build budgets for updates.
  • Daily walk-throughs; manage repairs to schedule and budget.
  • Collaborate with Chief of Staff and East Coast Estate Manager for five-star lifestyle.
  • Provide occasional hands-on service for meals and cocktails.
  • Protect principal's privacy and confidentiality.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Job description

A dynamic, jet-setting principal is seeking a capable, hospitality-centered House Manager to oversee two Beverly Hills properties. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who can run a busy, high-standard household with discretion and warmth. The right candidate blends estate operations with polished, personal hospitality. They keep daily operations, maintenance, vendors, and budgets on track with ease while also stepping in to set a table, pour a glass of wine, or mix a cocktail for the principal's guests. This person collaborates closely with a small established household team and travels when needed to support East Coast operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a tight knit team in a principal-facing role, with long-term potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee daily operations across two properties: the main residence and the adjacent home (primarily used for guests and events).
  • Lead and coordinate the in‑house team, working alongside three full‑time housekeepers (one live‑in), a full‑time chef, and a long‑tenured groundskeeper.
  • Ensure properties are always guest ready, maintaining a meticulous and peaceful environment.
  • Update and maintain household manuals, vendor lists and preventative maintenance schedules across properties to ensure residences are always operating to the highest standard.
  • Refine or create household SOPs to facilitate seamless household operations.
  • Guide housekeepers and vendors on the safe handling of and care around a significant art collection.
  • Source vendors, obtain quotes, and build budgets, then translate the details into clear, simple updates for the principal.
  • Conduct daily walk throughs of properties; identify and manage any household repairs, ensuring that vendors repair all to standard, and operate on time and on budget.
  • Collaborate closely with Chief of Staff and East Coast Estate Manager to deliver five star uninterrupted lifestyle across properties.
  • Provide occasional hands‑on service for meals and cocktails.
  • Protect the principal's privacy and maintain strict confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Background in private service, luxury hotels or yachting will translate best to role.
  • Working knowledge of home maintenance systems, with the ability to manage schedules, gather quotes, and build budgets.
  • Experience managing small teams, with a collaborative and communicative leadership style.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of service bringing a natural hospitality approach to the job.
  • Basic art awareness, with the ability to direct staff and vendors on working safely around a fine art collection.
  • Skilled at coordinating complex schedules and logistics, including support for more than one property at a time.
  • Tech savvy, with strong knowledge of home automation systems including Crestron, Lutron, etc.
  • Leverages technology to streamline and optimize household operations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
  • Proactive and self‑directed mindset, thinking ahead and is prepared to anticipate potential obstacles.
  • Maintains calm when under pressure, bringing a solutions‑oriented approach to challenges.
  • Discrete and confidential nature (NDA required.)
  • Willing and able to travel as needed.
Location

Beverly Hills, CA. The role also requires approximately four weeks per year in East Hampton, NY, split across two separate stints during busy periods.

Compensation

$175,000 to $225,000 DOE. Discretionary bonuses, benefits, and a 401(k) match + discretionary bonus.

Schedule

Full-time, live‑out, Monday-Friday with flexibility for longer days and weekends when needed.
