Job summary

HHM Hotels in Williamsburg, VA seeks a House Person to clean and maintain public hotel areas in line with brand standards and sustainability goals. You will greet guests, perform cleaning tasks, and support front-line operations during peak periods.

This role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, flexibility to work holidays and weekends, and a commitment to safety and guest satisfaction. You will also follow HHM's EarthView sustainability guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge guests in a courteous manner.
• Inspect assigned areas and perform cleaning tasks accordingly.
• Clean and maintain public hotel areas.
• Collect trash from service landings and dispose of in outside dumpsters.
• Vacuum and dust guest corridors.
• Pickup and transport linen to laundry collection site.
• Deliver clean linen to assigned sections.
• Report maintenance issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest areas.
• Respond to guest inquiries and assistance.
• Work as a room attendant during staffing shortages or peak periods.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing it.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
