Wind Creek Chicago Southland is seeking a Hotel House Attendant to welcome guests and maintain clean corridors, restock supplies, and deliver requested items within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Training will cover safety procedures and guest service standards.

• Load glassware into washers as needed.

• Recover lost-and-found items.
• Inform guests about the property, promotions, etc.
• Report maintenance issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on vacuum cleaner.
• Keep storage areas and carts clean and orderly.
• Work safely by following rules and wearing proper equipment.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Projects a positive image
• Greets all guests passing in corridors
• Delivers guests' requested items
• Vacuums corridors daily, spotting carpets as necessary
• Re-stocks supplies in housekeeping storage closets
• Administers dirty and clean linen and terry items
• Loads glassware into washers as needed
• Transports trash from room attendant's carts
• Recovers lost-and-found items
• Keeps corridors and stairwells free from dust and debris
• Disseminates information to guests regarding the property, hotel, promotions, etc.
• Reports maintenance issues
• Performs routine maintenance on vacuum cleaner
• Keeps storage areas and carts clean and orderly
• Works safe by observing safety rules and wearing proper equipment
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older- required
• Good verbal communication skills required (skills test will be administered)- required
• Must be able to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) lbs
• Ability to work in areas containing dust or on high floor; occasionally kneels, climbs and crawls to work in difficult positions
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
• Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to pass a physical fitness test
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position

Base Pay

• Compensation: $15.00 – $20.63 per hour, with starting pay based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and skills.
