Job summary

Southern Rock Restaurants is hiring hourly team members for a McAlister’s Deli location in Ohio. The role encompasses a range of kitchen and dining room duties, including food running, bussing, dishwashing, prep work, and line cooking.

You will contribute to a clean, safe, and guest-focused dining experience across shifts. The position supports various duties to ensure smooth service, adherence to sanitation policies, and flexibility in responsibilities as directed by management.

Responsibilities

• Food runner duties: Delivers orders to guests in the dining room and ensures they have what they need; Refills drinks and responds to guest requests after the food has been delivered; Follows sanitation and safety policies; Other duties as requested by management.
• Busser duties: Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning tables and chairs; Maintains table setting and cleanliness; Cleans dining room floors and removes trash; Adheres to sanitation and safety policies; Other duties as requested by management.
• Dishwasher duties: Ensures clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware; Restocks dish area; Unloads and stores deliveries; Cleans floors; Rinses garbage cans; Follows sanitation and safety policies; Other duties as requested by manager.
• Prep cook duties: Prepares foods for cooking based on prep lists and directions; Ensures quality per recipes and standards; Cleans and sanitizes station; Protects establishment and guests by sanitation policies; Other duties as requested by management.
• Line cook duties: Maintains cooking areas and utensils; Follows sanitation and safety standards; Reads orders and prepares items quickly and accurately; Cleans and restocks station; Ensures quality and quantity of prepared food; Other duties as requested by management.
