Job summary

Andy's Frozen Custard in Dallas, TX is seeking a Shift Manager to keep each shift running smoothly, train new associates, and model calm, energetic leadership while upholding our high product standards and delivering outstanding service.

This hands-on role requires 18+ age, 6+ months management experience in food service, flexible full-time hours including nights and weekends, and reliable transportation. We offer a friendly environment, paid vacation, health benefits, and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of proven management experience in the food service industry or leadership role in a related industry.
• This is an extremely hands-on position; must be able to physically work all shifts up front.
• Must be friendly, enthusiastic, and full of energy.
• Must lead by example and uphold high standards of operation in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a leader that helps their team grow through constant coaching and feedback.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to work full-time and have open availability, including late nights, weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Solid employment track record with positive references.

Responsibilities

• Run shift operations to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Train new associates and coach the team to improve performance.
• Open and close the store according to procedures.
• Ensure product quality and exceptional customer service at all times.

Job description

Our Shift Managers are responsible for making sure each shift runs smoothly! Beyond running a shift, this person is heavily involved in training new associates, being an example of “remaining calm at all times”, opening and closing the store, and above all else, ensuring that our product is to the highest of standards and providing exceptional customer service.

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing and walking
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 55 pounds independently and safely
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
• Constant computer, point-of-sale register, and found equipment usage
• Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist and spine
• Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around fountain area
• Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work
• Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
